Acetate
You can buy acetate in clear or coloured transparent sheets and it can be used to add interest to your designs in a variety of ways, eg: behind apertures (shaker cards), overlays, rubber stamping images which can be cut out and then painted with glitter glues.
Acid Free
This refers to products that are manufactured free of acid to prevent deterioration and discolouration of papers and photographs and is particularly relevant to Scrapbooking.

This is a shaped hole which has been cut from the front of a card.

Artists’ Trading Cards which are the crafters version of a business card. They are individually decorated then swapped with fellow crafters.

In the UK they are known as paper fasteners and in the USA they are known as brads. They come in all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes.
